Technical · U10 — U13

We do not just repeat the movements. We understand them.
Every movement is given meaning.

At ten you do not learn by repeating. You learn by understanding. A technical programme of 30 sessions a year, built for ages 9 to 13, where every movement is explained through an image they never forget.

Parents, we hear you

Between 9 and 13,
everything is decided.

This is the age when technical fundamentals take hold — and when many goalkeepers walk away because none of it means anything to them. Here is what we see far too often.

A movement repeated, never understoodAt this age, repeating without understanding builds habits that fall apart under pressure.
Adult instructions given to a ten-year-oldThe vocabulary, demands and drills of the professional world mean nothing to a pre-teen.
Motivation dropping off at 11 or 12This is the critical age: without visible progress, many goalkeepers give up the position.
No shared language with the coachThe child cannot explain what they are doing, so they cannot improve on their own.

  • Maximum 8 children per coach, grouped by level
  • Méthode exclusive par métaphores
  • Individual follow-up, quarterly feedback to parents
  • Complementary to club training

Our method

Understand first. Repeat afterwards.

Four teaching principles that make the difference between a child who repeats a movement and a child who understands it.

01

The power of metaphor

Every technical movement is tied to a strong image the child remembers instantly. The big top, the big cats, the brave thumbs: a vocabulary of its own that speaks to their imagination.

02

The child at the centre

We do not impose a model. We start from what they feel, what they ask, what they try. The coach is a guide, not someone giving orders.

03

Learning through play

Everything is learnt in a live situation. Challenges, circuits, themed small-sided games: technique is built without ever falling into mechanical repetition.

04

The child as the reference

In every session one child becomes the model for the group. They explain, they demonstrate, they gain confidence. Peer teaching in the service of self-belief.

Our signature

A vocabulary he will never forget.

Every technical movement is tied to a strong image. The child does not memorise an instruction: he lives a story. And a story stays for life.

The big top

The big top

The ready position. The child becomes a tent held by four guy ropes: stable, ready to spring in any direction.

The brave thumbs

The brave thumbs

Catching high balls. No more fear of putting the thumbs behind the ball: they are the bodyguards of the hands.

The big cats

The big cats

Lateral movement. The child becomes a cat, soft-footed, staying low, ready to pounce without ever crossing its paws.

Loading up

Loading up

Anticipation. Before every action you prepare the body — like an archer drawing the bow before releasing.

Cushioning

Cushioning

Receiving the ball. You do not block it, you welcome it — the way you would catch an egg without breaking it.

A typical session

75 minutes that make the difference.

A repeating rhythm that reassures the child, yet enriched each time with a new technical theme and a new image.

01

00:00

Warm-up and getting going

Coordination games, first touches, waking the body up. Everyone starts the technical work smiling.

02

00:15

Technical theme of the day

One movement, one metaphor, one clear objective. The child understands what they are working on and why.

03

00:45

Putting it into play

The movement is applied in duels, guided workshops and small oppositions. Technique meets the real game.

04

01:05

Match and debrief

A small-sided game, then a look back at what was learnt. Each child puts their understanding into their own words — that is where learning sticks.

The programme

8 themes, 30 sessions, a complete goalkeeper.

Every fundamental of the position worked in rotation across the year, each theme approached in stages suited to the level of the group.

Handling

Handling

High, along the ground, skidding — learning to choose the right technique for the ball.

Diving

Diving

The goalkeeper's signature movement. Step by step, without fear, off the right foot.

Distribution

Distribution

Volley, half-volley, short pass. The goalkeeper starts the team's attack.

Aerial play

Aerial play

Crosses and high balls: coming out, punching, claiming. Authority inside the box.

One against one

One against one

Facing the striker: timing, covering, closing the angle. Duels are won by reading, not by reflex.

Positioning and movement

Positioning and movement

Always on the right line, in the right place. That is 80 % of the performance.

Reaction speed

Reaction speed

Short, explosive, playful drills. The body learns to answer without thinking.

Low play

Low play

Everything that arrives near the post: going down low, smothering, protecting. Where the real goals are decided.

What he will gain

Learning that lasts.

What a child understands, he keeps. Six concrete gains by the end of the season.

Technical progress

The fundamentals firmly in place, ready to carry into the club.

Self-confidence

The child knows why they do things. They dare, they dare again, they improve.

Independence

They can correct themselves, ask the right questions, take charge of their own game.

Carrying it into matches

What they learn at Aureak shows up on the weekend — and their club notices.

Game intelligence

They learn to read before reacting. The beginning of a genuinely modern goalkeeper.

Lasting enjoyment

Because a child who enjoys it is a child who stays in the game.

In parents' words

They saw the difference.

The metaphors have changed things at home. My son talks to us about the “big top” and the “brave thumbs”. He understands what he is doing, and that changes everything.

Caroline V.

Mother of Nathan, 10

Within a year his club coach came to ask us: “what are you doing with him?”. He has taken an enormous step — technically and mentally.

Julien B.

Father of Arthur, 12

What we value is that everyone's pace is respected. Never a comparison, never any pressure. Our daughter comes home genuinely proud.
