Coaching philosophy

How we develop tomorrow's goalkeepers

At Aureak, every session goes beyond the technical movement. We develop young goalkeepers aged 6 to 17 through a programme that builds step by step, is tailored to the individual and is rooted in strong educational values. Here is how — and above all why.

The founder

I followed the same sessions for years. I decided to do it differently.

Very young, I had the chance to join an academy that already offered goalkeeper-specific sessions. Yet over the years I felt a certain weariness — one that grew even stronger after I moved up to the professional level, despite the quality of the coaches I worked with.

I understood that a goalkeeper needs variety, progression and a framework that grows with him. That is exactly what I built with Aureak — a method that did not exist when I needed it.

That boredom made me understand how important it is to vary the approach. Today it sits at the heart of everything we do.

What we pass on goes far beyond the technical movement

Sporting education goes beyond physical performance. It shapes balanced, respectful and independent people — on the pitch and in life.

1

Self-respect

Looking after yourself physically and mentally, setting realistic objectives and working without comparing yourself to others.

2

Respect for others

Positive communication, fair play and team spirit. Understanding the importance of the collective while developing your own leadership.

3

Setting objectives

Naming the skills to work on and revisiting them regularly to measure progress. Building perseverance.

4

Presence in the moment

Being fully present in the now, reading the environment quickly. Staying calm and clear under pressure.

5

Respect for the rules

Understanding the rules and their tactical role, in order to anticipate situations better and make better decisions.

6

Personal responsibility

Being proactive in your own learning, taking initiative and drawing lessons from your mistakes.

7

Perseverance

Seeing every setback as an opportunity. Building the resilience to overcome obstacles with determination.

8

Initiative

Anticipating passages of play, deciding quickly, adjusting tactically without waiting for instructions.

9

Handling emotions

Mastering your emotions, staying calm under tension, channelling stress to keep a clear head.

10

Solidarity and empathy

Supporting your teammates, strengthening cohesion and becoming a leader who inspires others.

Positive learning

Mistakes as a lever for progress

We build an environment where every goalkeeper feels encouraged to try, to learn from mistakes and to improve without fear of failure. When a goalkeeper makes a mistake, we do not focus only on what went wrong — we also name what was good in the action, so they understand precisely how to improve.

We do not simply develop better goalkeepers. We develop young people who are more confident and more resilient.

Our method

Individual attention and cognitive training

Two pillars that make every session unique and every goalkeeper better.

A programme built for each goalkeeper, not a single mould

To get the most from each goalkeeper's potential, we combine constant feedback, video analysis and individual objectives.

1

Real-time feedback

The coaches correct technique during the session and adapt the drills to what they observe.

2

Video analysis on the pitch

Sessions are filmed. Goalkeepers review their actions right there on the pitch, in replay.

3

Match analysis

After every match, every detail is studied — positioning, saves, coordination with team-mates.

4

Personal goals

Every goalkeeper gets a plan suited to their needs: technical, physical, mental or coaching.

Cognitive training: reading the game before it happens

Being a goalkeeper is not a matter of physical qualities alone. It calls for the ability to read the game, to anticipate and to react to situations you did not expect.

1

Proactive decision-making

Constantly reading the opponents' positions, the flight of the ball and team-mates' movement — to anticipate before the action happens.

2

Focus and handling pressure

Visualisation, managing distractions and reaction games to stay calm and sharp under intense pressure.

3

Reading the game

Training visual perception so the goalkeeper is optimally placed before the move even starts.

Technologie & Data

Measuring in order to improve: technology in the service of the goalkeeper

Video, virtual reality and data, to improve faster and more precisely.

Video analysis

Every session can be filmed. Goalkeepers review their technique in replay on the pitch — a direct, immediate visual correction.

Virtual reality

Goalkeepers immerse themselves in simulated match situations. Reliving actions from different angles reveals the impact of every decision.

Data and statistics

Movement analysis, extracting how professionals position themselves, and an objective view of strengths and weaknesses.
